"The Perl of the Orient"
Today we"ll talk about the city of the seven million people which is located on the South China Sea coast.
Hong Kong is one of the safest cities in the world, even at night when people can walk alone (but always take care of your belongings at all times).
Kowloon is at the southern part of the mainland peninsula and is full of shops, bars, hotels and housing in a jumble of skyscrapers.
It is popular with tourists and locals, especially the area around Nathan Road and the Mong Kok entertainment zone.
There are also a few temples like the famous Wong Tai Temple
and a couple of interesting museums for example Hong Kong's History museum.
TIPS :
-Hong Kong has no sales tax,
so prices are generally attractive to shopaholics!!
-Try a local style breakfast
-See the best of the Hong Kong skyline by an evening boat tour..
Food :
Roasted crispy pork belly is one of Hongkongers'favorite plate!!
...and many more....
Drinks and coctails
The ultra stylish "Aqua Spirit Bar" has been quoted as one of the best bars in Hong Kong ,where you can enjoy a special dinner or a coctail on the 30th floor!!!!!
Hong Kong's street markets attract many visitors....
Small shops and street stalls sell everything from clothes, flowers, electronics, antiques, to hand made accessories. If you are looking for some special souvenirs Temple Street night market will be your place.
But if you are looking for namebrand stores, you should go around the Tsim Sha Tsui end of the Kowloon peninsula....
World Trade Center is a shopping mall that offers stylish fashion. You can also enjoy the view of Victoria Harbour!!!
Victoria peek is not to be missed!!
The best way to reach the peak is to take the peak tram and enjoy the panoramic views of Hong Kong right down at your knees..
The Avenue of the Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui is a tribute to the names that helped Hong Kong be the "Hollywood of the East"
And as the day go by..don't miss the symphony of lights!!!!
The symphony of lights is the world's biggest light and sound show!!!!
The show lasts about fifteen minutes ,it is free and includes the Skylines of Hong Kong and Kowloon!!
Forty seven buildings participate on both sides of Victoria Harbour.
The buildings are also lit up themselves !!!!!
There are different types of lighting effects such as laser.....etc....
In my opinion ,cruising in Victoria's harbour is the best way to enjoy the dancing city !!!!
Be at the promenade early in order to take the best photos because it is usually overcroaded..
After all....i believe that Hong Kong is really 'Asia's world city'!!!!
I will definitely go back..
