Norway always seemed mystical for me....

Scenic tall mountains,lush forests,amazing waterfalls,spectacular architecture and coloured houses....

I traveled with a luxury line which was beyond my expectations!!

What I saw was an uncountable numer of fjords along the cost of Norway but the most scenic ones are on the west coast.

I admired the wild nature which was a piece of art!!

I loved the silence,the tranquility and peace....

From the waterfalls to breathtaking valleys,for me,everything seemed to be a natural wonder!!!!

SFENDAMOS WOOD VILLAGE

  AN EXCLUSIVE WINTER

This weekend I visited 'Sfendamos wood village' which is located in a forest at 1300m hight,surrounded by trees and exquisite mountain views and is consisted of 7 wooden houses and a chalet.

Decorated in traditional Canadian style architecture with a central fireplace in the sitting room,warm fabrics and soft furnishings,combining comfort and relaxation,Sfendamos is refined, with small touches which makes it home away from home..

It's ideal for both large groups of adults and family parties!!

Breakfast,lunch and dinning facilities are superb ...

Jarno, the mascot of 'Sfendamos',is a St.Bernard dog,known for being an esay-going gentle giant.. 

Sfendamos is the perfect escape,for those looking for a ski advendure or those simply wanting a relaxing break experience..

           A WEEKEND IN NUREMBERG

Visiting Nuremberg was a great experience for me!

From the ancient streets of this 950-years old Bavarian city to historic museums, Nuremberg stole my heart at once!!

I wondered around the streets admiring the buildings,the monuments and the unusual statue 

'Ehekarussell' which discribes the sad course of marriage from dating to death!!

I felt a bit horrified but it was so spectacular!!

The lovely church of Lorenzkirche in the heart of the old town was my meeting point...

I was surprised with the beauty of the Hospital of the Holy Spirit!!

This place was not only a piece of architecture but also one of the oldest private medicine practices..

The city has a lot of restaurants and cafes..

I chose cafe Trodelmarkt,a place which overlooks the Henkersteg bridge which is famous for its delicious cakes and the fantastic brunches...

Nuremberg is famous due to the unique little sausages.I found the original Nuremberg Rostbratwurst at the breakfast buffet,at restaurants and at street vendors,too!!

As for the shopaholics....the Hauptmarkt and the streets leading to the castle are littered with souvenir shops..

Kaiserstrasse is more high-end, as it's home to a number of exclusive shops, boutiques and cafes..

SHARD

          AQUA SHARD RESTAURANT

We visited Aquashard restaurant on Christmas Eve to celebrate our 25th anniversary with my family and some friends.It was truly an outstanding experience!

We were lucky as the weather was fine on a clear bright December night..

We sat in a table next to the window and we could

admire the panoramic,breathtaking view of London from the 32nd floor!! 

Everything was perfect!!

From the three course festive menu to the special  innovative cocktails ..

The service was exeptional and the staff was very attentive..

We loved the atmosphere with the great music and the cool decor!!

We also had a special treat from the Shard's team for our anniversary
 and that was something we didn't expect,so we appreciated it a lot!!

After all,the scenic Shard is the next best thing to heaven!
